LEADERSHIP
The most pressing REALTOR®
issue I would like to see ORRA
address during my term as president
is professionalism. Members
should to be aware that we are
all REALTORS®, so what you do
aff ects me and what I do aff ects
you.
PRESIDENT
Reese Stewart
RE/MAX Properties SW
It’s entirely fitting that one of the favorite movies of ORRA’s 2020 president,
Ret. First Sergeant Reese Stewart, is “A Bug’s Life.”
“The first rule of leadership is ‘everything is your fault,’” explains
Stewart, RE/MAX Properties SW. “’A Bug’s Life’ teaches this lesson in
accountability along with others about leadership that are of value
to everyone, whether they are children, military personnel, or elected
off icers of a REALTOR® organization.”
Stewart, who transitioned into real estate aft er a 20-year career in
the United States Army, will focus his leadership in 2020 on initiatives
that continue moving the association forward in any given area, and
leave ORRA in a better place because of it. Priorities that Reese will
maintain during his term as president include:
PROFESSIONALISM
Developing programs that educate and encourage REALTORS® as
they seek to provide the highest levels of customer service.
PROFITABILITY
Providing classes, tools, and other resources to enhance members’
financial success.
AFFORDABLE HOUSING
Encouraging full funding of the Sadowski Aff ordable Housing Trust
Funds and ensuring ORRA’s leadership position in community-wide
eff orts to address Orlando’s aff ordable housing crisis.
The Orlando native holds a Florida real estate broker license and a
Florida real estate instructor permit. In fact, Reese frequently teaches
continuing education classes that focus on professionalism, ethics,
and REALTOR® safety at ORRA and at his own Stewart School of Real
Estate. He has completed both ORRA’s Excellence in Professionalism
– Gold Key Certification and its Excellence in Professionalism – Platinum
Key Certification programs, and he holds the Accredited, Buyers
Representative (ABR) designation and the Short Sales and Foreclosure
Resource (SFR) certification.
Reese is ORRA’s 2018 REALTOR® of the Year, which is the association’s
highest honor and one that recognizes outstanding contributions
of leadership and eff ort on behalf of the membership.
He and his wife, Julie, a recently retired real estate brokerage executive,
enjoy spending time with their three daughters, two granddaughters,
and grandson.

ORRA leadership team, starting on this page with Reese.
The most pressing real
estate issue I would like to
see ORRA address during
my term as president is affordable
housing. I served in
order to protect our country,
our freedoms, and the concept
that everyone should
be able to own a home
legally and economically.
The most valuable services
ORRA off ers members are
professional development
opportunities that lead to
profitability; awareness of
local, state, and national
real estate issues; and data
that accurately describes
Orlando’s housing market
conditions.
The factors most aff ecting
the future of Orlando’s housing
market are aff ordability
and the sheer volume of
anticipated new residents.
ORRA has had an impact on
my career by introducing
me to other REALTORS® and
aff iliate members who are
willing to serve as sounding
boards or advice-givers.
We can’t be experts
on everything, so having
trusted counsel is incredibly
valuable.
The most important real
estate advice I’ve received
(and in turn given) is to never
get attached to the outcome.
Don’t get emotionally
involved and definitely don’t
count your commission
dollars before closing,
because that means you’re
not serving your customers
in their best interests.
The best way to stay competitive
in real estate is to
stay educated on your craft .
I chose a career in real estate
because I figured if I could
sell someone on spending
two to six years of their life
in the military, I could sell
something tangible like a
house.
