We all knew that A-J’s had a secret weapon in the kitchen and thanks
to my excellent detective skills, I have found him! Ronald Hazzard is
the secret ingredient in the kitchen and even has his own recipe on their
menu! Calm down, I will get to it. In the meantime, here’s Ronald…
Born and raised in Savannah, Ronald’s mom was the General Manager for
Barnes Restaurant. That means that Ronald was raised “in the kitchen”
and he started out there as soon as he was of legal age to wash a dish
and prep for breakfast. At 18 he hooked up with A-J’s with an on and off
relationship that would last until he grew through the ranks to Kitchen
Manager two years ago. He dabbled in a variety of gigs, including
cabinetry and mechanics, but he always found himself gravitating back
towards food and being in that industry. Now married to the love of his
life, Brooke, he has a boy and a girl, Kieron and Robin, and is living the
Tybee Dream.
Questions of Life:
Tybee Life: Forever.
Passion: Cooking for sure, and working on cars and boats.
Future: Own an auto body shop or a start a restaurant featuring
Southern and Cajun cuisine.
Spirit Animal: Wolf. A leader who is protective and fierce. Refuses to
leave anyone behind.
Super Power He Has: The ability to deal with pressure and roll with it.
Super Power He Wishes He Had: The ability to fly. Yeah. That would
be cool!
And now, the moment you’ve really been waiting for …. The Recipe!
Ronald’s go-to-love-to-cook-dish is Seafood Pasta. The following is the
recipe without measurements and just listen to your ancestors whisper in
your ear when enough is enough.
Seafood Pasta
Ingredients:
White Wine
Onions
Heavy Cream
Parmesan
Shrimp, Scallops & Oysters
Pasta
Directions:
Sauté the wine and onions and toss in the Shrimp, Scallops and Oysters
at a medium temperature situation. Sauté for a few minutes and add the
heavy cream and parmesan cheese reduction. Keep stirring for a few
minutes. Serve with pasta, season to taste and Wa La!

their Watermelon Margarita, their Buffalo Shrimp, their everything! Call
