Schools and Education
North Port currently has a charter school (which includes
a high school, middle school and elementary school), five
elementary schools, two middle schools, and one high
school. State College of Florida has a campus in South
Sarasota County, just beyond the City’s borders, and is
heavily utilized by North Port residents. In partnership with
SCF, students can earn a four-year degree from University
of South Florida. Several other schools offering a variety
of programs are nearby, including: Charlotte Technical
College, SouthWest Florida Technical Institute, Florida
Southwestern State College, Florida Gulf Coast University,
New College, and Ringling School of Art and Design.
