The Real Property Division continued their effort to complete the
2021 revaluation project which involves visiting/appraising all

The Personal Property Division processed 1,000+ Homestead
and Veterans exemptions, resulting in an exclusion amount of

Facilities Management Facilities Management is responsible for all county road signs, nine (9)
convenience sites and over twenty (20) buildings and grounds which are
owned or occupied by county departments.

Key Accomplishments:
• Constructed numerous COVID mitigation barriers throughout the County’s
multiple facilities
• Replaced the north end roof at the Commons
• Repaved and restriped the 1st Street side of the Commons facility
• Fully renovated the public restroom facilities in the Health & Human Services
wing of the Commons facility
• Replaced a large section of concrete at the Courthouse parking lot
• Constructed a wall to segregate sick and well patients in the Health Dept.
Register of Deeds The Register of Deeds maintains public records and documents, including
records relating to real estate ownership and vital records. We ensure that the
E-recording has been implemented. Electronic recording allows attorneys
present their documents in person or by mail.

• Land transfers totaled 2,686 (increase of 4% from 2019)
• Excise tax receipts totaled $656,177 (increase of 8% from 2019)
to celebrate and honor local veterans was a bit different due to COVID-19.
Relief Fund was held. The event raised $2,900.00 from generous donations.
A special thank you to the Stanly County Senior Center in Albemarle and
Encounter Christ Church in the western part of Stanly County for their
assistance with the event this year.
