This self-portrait of Louis
Markoya with his Bengal
cat is being used to
promote his exhibit at the
Leepa-Rattner Museum
of Art in Tarpon Springs.
An exhibit of Markoya’s work, “A Deeper
Understanding,” is on display at the Leepa-
Rattner Museum of Art at St. Petersburg
College’s Tarpon Springs campus until
February 6, 2022. It features more than 70
oil paintings, sculptures and interactive
lenticular prints, rare collaborative pieces
with Dalí from Markoya’s personal collection,
and his newest exploration of fractal imaging,
including LED illuminated lenticular prints
and chessboard. Markoya’s short film, Strange
Attractors, is available for viewing with 3D
glasses to provide an immersive experience.
As he explores these new concepts and
technologies, he has been able to expand
the accomplishments of his mentor with his
illusions that seem to float in space. 9
