H2O! Event earlier this summer.

Port and Culver’s. Grandparents and grandchildren will
enjoy memorable crafts, goofy games, and an ice cream

The event is for children 4 and up, grandparents with
children. Fee is $3 per person.
7th Annual Let’s Eat! Englewood
Thursday, Sept. 16 through the end of the month
The Englewood Florida Chamber of Commerce is
excited to announce this year’s event is expected to
include more than 30 participating restaurants.
This is a great opportunity for patrons to enjoy new
special menu items at your favorite restaurant, or to try
out a new restaurant. The goal of the event is to increase
business for the local restaurants during the slower time
of year, and to continue to promote Englewood as a
culinary destination.
This year’s “Foodie Celebration” will include a threecourse
prix fi xe dinner menu for $29, and two-course
prix fi xe lunch menu for $15. The specialty menus are
available for online viewing at LetsEatEnglewood.com.

The City of North Port’s Parks & Recreation Department
will host a free Concert in the Park featuring Tropical
Avenue. The band performs Top 40 Dance, Latin, and
Island Music in addition to Motown, Classic Rock and
Standards – always with a festive fl air!
Admission and parking are free. Bring your chairs,
blankets, or other seating. Seating area opens at 6 p.m.
with music starting at 7 p.m.
The Rotary Club of North Port will be selling beer and
wine, and other food and non-alcoholic drink vendors will

Etiquette at Edison Ford

Mina Edison was a gracious hostess and concerned with
the well being of children and the community. Following
in her tradition, this two-hour class teaches etiquette and
social skills. Students will gather at the Edison Caretaker’s
House for a lesson in good manners. This class teaches
proper introduction, handshakes and dining etiquette
during a three-course meal. Each student will receive a
workbook and certifi cate of completion.
