The 2019 LATINA Style 50 Special Report
Importance of Latina Board of Directors
By Jennifer Romero
Through rigorous obstacles and adversity, Latinas in corporate America develop diligent resilience daily by
maintaining humility, confidence, and undeniable ambition. In our nation, Latinas are reaching remarkable
milestones and achievements every day in multiple sectors of our society such as corporate America, medicine,
and education. A multitude of Latinas have prospered in achieving higher education, accepting opportunities,
and have passionately followed their pathways to success. As the Latino population increases in the United States,
Latinos and Latinas are excelling in executive leadership and expanding their efforts to create diversity and inclusion
in companies around the nation. Such individuals become role models for the next generation, teaching them to never
stop believing in the enterprise of their dreams. LS
