María Martínez-Guzmán Promoted to Senior VP
and Executive News Director at Univision News
Maria Martínez-Guzmán will
head programming for all daily
Univision Networks newscasts,
including Noticiero Univision, Primer Impacto,
Despierta America and El Gordo y La Flaca.
She will also oversee Al Punto, the Sunday
morning political show. The executive
producers for those shows report directly to
Martínez-Guzmán. She reports to Daniel
Coronell, president of Univision News.

Martínez-Guzmán joined Univision network in
2002 after spending five years as News
Director for Univision’s affiliate in McAllen.
Since moving to the network’s Miami
headquarters, she has held several positions of
growing importance, including managing
editor and executive producer.
California Governor Gavin Newsom Appoints Lendistry’s
Stacie Olivares-Castain to the California Public Employees’
Retirement System Board of Administrators (CalPERS)
With a market value of $377 billion, the
California Public Employees' Retirement System
(CalPERS) is the nation's largest public pension
fund serving more than 1.9 million members in
the retirement system and 1.5 million members
and their families in the health program.
Stacie Olivares-Castain has been the chief
investment officer at Lendistry since 2019, was
a senior advisor on impact investments and
blockchain at the California Department of
Insurance from 2017-2019 and served as
managing director and chief investment officer at
the California Organized Investment Network
(COIN) 2011-2017.

track record for driving financial improvements

Olivares-Castain's career spans the private
and public sectors across the areas of finance,
economics, and mobile technology. Prior to
joining Lendistry, she was the Managing Director
and Chief Investment Officer of the California
Organized Investment Network (COIN). Previously,
she was at Morgan Stanley in portfolio
management and financial advisory services,
served as the former executive director of the
California Commission for Economic Development,
and led licensee business development and
account management at Palm Inc.
Rebecca Cameron Valcq was appointed by
Governor Tony Evers as Commissioner at the Public
Service Commission of Wisconsin for a six-year term.
Governor Evers also appointed her as Commission
Chairperson for a two-year term. The Public Service
Commission of Wisconsin (PSC) is composed of three
full-time Commissioners who decide the cases
brought to the PSC for changes in utility operations,
rates and for construction projects after a complete
and thorough review of all the records compiled in
the case, including public comments.
Prior to her appointments, she was a partner
at Quarles & Brady in the energy, environment and
natural resources practice group. Previous to that
position she was regulatory counsel for Wisconsin
Electric Power Company where she advised
management on all areas of regulatory law in
multiple jurisdictions as well as compliance matters.
Cameron Valcq earned her undergraduate
degree from Drake University and her law degree
from Marquette University. She lives in Whitefish Bay
with her husband Rob and two daughters.
