The Robert J. Novins Planetarium, on Ocean County
College’s Main Campus in Toms River, one of the largest
and most active planetariums in New Jersey, features some
of the latest projection technology to bring you the universe
in innovative and exciting new ways. The planetarium dome
is a virtual 3-D video space, no longer restricted to an
earthbound view of the sky.
Spend an enjoyable evening or afternoon “Under the Stars”
at the Robert J. Novins Planetarium where you can take
a journey from the smallest size scales to the edge of the
universe. The Novins Planetarium offers an array of special
events plus a variety of laser, children’s, and seasonal
shows. The new fiber-optic star projector showcases a
beautiful, crisp view of the night sky as viewed from Earth,
or visitors can enjoy investigating the real night sky through
the lens of a telescope perched outside on the Planetarium
lawn. For a show schedule, visit www.ocean.edu or for
recorded show information call 732-255-0342.
