Originally regarded as a summer resort area, Point Pleasant
Beach is now a bustling, year-round community and the proud
home of the most family-oriented boardwalk at the shore.
Jenkinson’s Boardwalk, a mile-long destination, is perfect for
the whole family, with attractions including an aquarium, an
amusement park, arcades and games of chance. The Boards,
as they are commonly called, house three mini-golf courses,
batting cages, and sweet shops and other boardwalk food
favorites.
Jenkinson’s Boardwalk is conveniently accessible by car, train
or bus. It’s just minutes off the Garden State Parkway and Route
195, one hour south of New York City, one hour north of Atlantic
City and about an hour and 15 minutes from Philadelphia. Point
Pleasant Beach is also one of the few Ocean County Tourism
destinations that can be reached directly by NJTRANSIT via
the Point Pleasant Beach Station of the North Jersey Coast
Line. This makes it a fun destination to visit for the day with
friends, completely accessible to those who live north along the

Welcome Friend—
stay as long as you can,
and come back soon.
Fishing, bicycling, boating,
swimming, sports, shopping, night
life. . . . Or maybe you prefer visiting
unique shops, restaurants, bakeries,
ice cream stands or a well-stocked
library or just lying in the sun doing
nothing at all. Whatever it is, you can
find it all here in the Jersey Shore’s
premier family community.
