The Classic American Boardwalk in Seaside Heights®

jewelry boutiques, frozen custard and soft-serve ice
cream shops, and candy stores to satisfy your taffy
and chocolate cravings. A walk down the Boardwalk
Promenade delivers panoramas that are iconic and aweinspiring.
Walk across one of the handicap-accessible dune
crossovers and you will find a relaxing stretch of sugarwhite
sand with plenty of room for your beach chair and
umbrella. Lifeguards are on duty between Memorial Day
weekend and mid-September. The beach is perfect for
scavengers searching for shells, sea glass, driftwood and
other natural treasures. No wonder Seaside Heights was
voted Ocean County’s Favorite Beach in 2016, 2017 and
2018 by New Jersey Sea Grant Consortium!
If you prefer a less bustling place to stake your beach
umbrella, the mood at Sunset Beach located at the North
Bayfront may be what you’re looking for. Sunset Beach
offers a shallow swimming beach for young children,
food concession, public restrooms, a nautical-themed
playground and free parking! You can watch recreational
boats navigate through the channel in the Seaside
Heights Harbor, and if you bring binoculars you may be
able to spot egrets and herons on the sedge island just
across the bay.
Seaside Heights hosts many family friendly events
throughout the summer—the weekly Fireworks
Extravaganza, free beach concerts, Movie on the Beach
nights, Bonfire on the Beach and overnight beach
camping, to name just some of the exciting events.
Seaside Heights also hosts parades, street festivals, car
shows, motorcycle rallies and many different sporting
events. In the fall, Seaside Heights presents the annual
Wine on the Beach Festival, Que by the Sea BBQ
Competition & Festival and the Italian Street Festival and
Columbus Day Parade.
