GOODY
Returns
to Tampa
This 1925 Ford Model T truck was built
the same year Goody Goody originally
opened in Tampa.
Richard Gonzmart, fourth
generation co-owner of
the Columbia Restaurant
Group, is ecstatic about
bringing back the iconic Goody
Goody restaurant that was opened
in 1925 and closed eleven years
ago in 2005. This fond memory
for many is located in Tampa’s
Hyde Park Village at 1601 West
Swann Avenue. Their burgers are
made from the same Fresh From
Florida® beef that the Columbia
uses at their Ūlëlē Restaurant.
Richard has included a giant
buttermilk, banana and glutenfree
sweet potato pancake that is
served with house-made “cracker
maple syrup” to the menu as part
of Goody’s all-day breakfast.
The restaurant’s legendary housebaked
Butterscotch Pie has also
returned, as well as other pies that
are baked daily. Goody Goody is
revered for its POX Burger with
pickles, onions and special sauce. 9
