Charley Morgan, the founder of the Morgan Invasion that is now
the Tampa Bay Hospice Cup, is the quintessential yachtsman.
dedicated to local hospices in 2010, after witnessing the
importance of hospice care. The Morgan Invasion was
adopted by the Davis Island Yacht Club and a “Deed
of Gift” was ceremoniously presented by Charley to
its directors in 2012. The Tampa Bay Hospice Cup is
flourishing, thanks to volunteers, in-kind contributors
and sponsors. Ninety-five to 100 percent of the money
received goes directly to hospices.
The 2017 Tampa Bay Hospice Cup kicks off on
April 8th with a dinner and auction, followed by the
actual sailing regatta on April 22nd. To attend the
