Riders and horses compete in this
international equestrian event that includes
dressage, cross-country and stadium jumping
competitions taking place at Elinor

This spring, famed group Earth, Wind & Fire
will bring their timeless sounds of jazz, funk,
blues, rock and pop to the Donald L. Tucker
Civic Center in Tallahassee for a one-nightonly
show.

Springtime Tallahassee Festival & Parade
Tallahassee’s annual celebration of spring
is one of the largest and most celebrated
festivals in the Southeast. The two-day event
kicks off Friday night with a music festival
on Kleman Plaza, featuring national
entertainment acts. Saturday brings the
Grand Parade — one of the largest and most
celebrated parades in the Southeast, including
the Jubilee in the Park art show, the Children’s
Park, a 5K run and local entertainment stages
Downtown for a one-night-only show.

Word of South Festival
The Word of South festival celebrates
literature and music with a variety of
musical performances, literary discussions,
poetry readings, interviews, book signings
and a dedicated children’s program.
At Cascades Park and locations
across Tallahassee.

LeMoyne Chain of Parks
This annual art festival offers the unique
opportunity to view, appreciate and even
purchase original works of art by more than
150 artists from around the region and the
world. The event is free, and also features
an Easter egg hunt, concessions and
live entertainment.

2017 USTA Tallahassee Tennis Challenger
The Tallahassee Tennis Challenger is the final
event of the Har-Tru USTA Pro Circuit Wild Card
Challenge, a series of three tournaments that
offer the American who earns the most ATP
points a Main Draw Wildcard Entry into the
French Open. Come see world-class tennis
here in Tallahassee.

Doak After Dark Featuring Blake Shelton

Florida State University’s Doak Campbell
Stadium will host country music’s biggest stars
for Doak After Dark on April 29, 2017. Country
music superstar Blake Shelton headlines with
Jake Owen, Big & Rich, David Ray, and Adley
Stump performing as well.
2017 Southern Shakespeare Festival
Join renowned thespians as they take to the stage
and share one-of-a kind performances including
a performance by Sonnet Man delivering
Shakespearean sonnets to a hip-hop beat, an
encore performance of the Zombie Shakespeare
touring show, and something wickedly funny
from the artists at Mickee Faust and more.
Emancipation Day Celebration
The Knott House and the John G. Riley Museum
commemorate the declaration of the
Emancipation Proclamation, made from
the Knott House on May 20, 1865, in Tallahassee,
with this annual event. The event features
a reading of the document, period music
and a picnic in Lewis Park. It is free and open
to the public.
An Evening with The Avett Brothers
Join The Avett Brothers as they return to
Tallahassee for a second time in support of their
latest hit album, True Sadness, which has hit #1
on Billboard’s Top Album, Rock Album, Digital
Album and Top 200 Charts. The show takes place
at the beautiful Capital City Amphitheater in
