A Master Portrait Artist
Robert Schoeller
46 TAMPA BAY MAGAZINE | MARCH/APRIL 2017
Did you ever wonder
what has made the
Mona Lisa one of
the most famous
paintings in the world? Da Vinci
was able to merge his own soul
into that of his subject and in
doing so, found the very essence
of Mona Lisa, whoever she was.
It is a portrait, yet it is so much
more, as it has captivated people
for centuries. Robert Schoeller
is a portrait artist who has
received incredible recognition
for his ability to paint portraits
that leave a lasting impact on his
viewers. By using space, light,
shadows and arrangements that
have classical roots, he is able
to create masterpieces that are
equal to others who came before
him, such as Rembrandt, Goya,
Titian and Velázquez.
