The Ultimate
Beatles
Collection
Penny Lane is the name that
Dr. Robert Entel has given to
his eclectic collection of Beatles
memorabilia, some of which
dates back to 1961. Penny Lane’s
curator Colin Bissett, who grew
up in Liverpool where the Beatles
began as the Fab Four, has filled
a section of Stirling Commons in
downtown Dunedin with rare
and highly collectable items,
such as signed guitars, strands
of their hair, Beatles puppets and
commercial specialties promoting
the group. You can view the
collection for free on the second
floor of Stirling Commons, 730
Broadway, Dunedin. Penny Lane
is open Monday, Wednesday and
Friday from noon to 4 p.m. or by
special arrangement through
Colin at (727) 281-8130.
