it is more filling. While its calorie
count is similar to rice, you will eat
less, increase your energy due to its
high iron and magnesium content,
and will be on your way to a healthier

We all at times wish the
road to perfect health
was paved with all the
foods we so often crave and desire.
Wouldn’t it be great if that Panna
Cotta, so generously dressed with
crème anglaise was just what the
Doctor ordered? What if that slice of
strawberry shortcake was the ideal
recipe for increasing our metabolism,
or chocolate made your skin smoother
than silk? That’s the world I want to
live in. However, the world we actually
live in, is just a little bit different…………
but not as different as one might think.
You don’t have to look too hard
to find the latest, greatest diet with
promise of shedding unwanted pounds
while you sleep. Just ask the person
at the desk next to yours; they can
likely give you 10 ideas. We hear lowcarb,
paleo, Mediterranean, whole
30, just to name a few. We enter into
these dietary relationships knowing
they are temporary. I can’t personally
remember the last temporary
relationship I had that ended well. So
why do so many of us get caught up
in these grand schemes………? Is it
because they sound so easy? Many of
us shudder at the thought of counting
calories or transferring points from
Wednesday to Thursday or even
completely ending our affair with
bread forever. What if the best diet
was no diet at all?
Now that we are heavily invested
in the age of information one thing
is clear; we are aware of so many
more choices that are available to
us and those choices offer appeal
