63
organizations throughout the County,” Currin emphasizes. “It’s
an opportunity for training and to provide exposure and a new
way of thinking for emergency situations.”
As a hospital organization, Blake Medical Center conducts drills
for mass casualty events or natural disasters, like Hurricane Irma,
where hospitals can become a last resort within a community.
For this reason, Currin says it was natural for Blake to embrace
the PEARLS program and assist the Early Learning Coalition
and law enforcement in developing it.
Family Man
Outside of work,
Currin enjoys spending
time with his
family - his wife of
13 years, Jessica,
9-year-old daughter,
Raleigh, and 4-yearold
son, William.
“We like to do things
together as a family,
whether it ’s local
adventures or taking
trips,” Currin says.
He and his son enjoy
playing golf together.
“He’s only 4, but he likes to try and hit the ball,” Currin laughs.
Currin’s daughter plays golf with him from time to time, but
acting is her true passion. “We also enjoy paddle boarding
and other water activities, and we enjoy going out on our
shing boat.”
As they adjust to life in Manatee County, Currin and his family
look forward to giving back to their new community. “From what
I’ve seen, there are a lot of people who put signicant time and
resources into organizations that benet this community and its
residents,” he says. “It’s impressive.”
