“He’s definitely ahead of the curve,”
Corr said of Alexander’s artistic abilities.
“He’s super creative; he kind of walks his
own path.”
Corr, who incorporates art history and
appreciation into his classes and camps,
often shows his students famous works of
art to imitate, such as ield o oies.
Alexander would produce his own
interpretations that, according to Corr,
“were always pretty inventive.”
“He’s super funny,” Corr said, and
laughed. “He’s condent, he’s always
smiling. He’s really vibrant. He’s just a real
special little guy.”
Corr said Alexander was especially good
at giving critiques during the portion of
each class Corr reserves for students to
offer each other constructive criticism.
Alexander always gave positive feedback.
“Kids can say really negative things
about each other’s artwork,” Corr said.
“Alexander was always helpful.”
Nicole Teich sees similar traits in her
son. She describes him as a friendly and
kind boy.
“He is sensitive and knows the importance
of inclusion so people’s feelings are not
hurt,” she said. “He loves to make people
laugh and tells jokes or does funny things.
He is an entertainer.”
