any excess moisture with a towel. I suggest
allowing these to completely dry before
you start any painting.
To begin decorating the rocks, you will

Now, because this was a craft for their
Dad, we used colors that we thought he
would appreciate like brown, blue, white,
and yellow.
To start painting, begin with a base layer
on one side of the rock and allow it to dry.
then you can repeat this on the other side.
Once dried, your child can then add a
layer of paint to decorate the rock, or
use the permanent markers to draw on
the surface.

parts white, brown, and yellow, to make
a tan color for a face, and once dried,
added features like eyes, a nose, a mouth
and facial hair.
We then added sayings like “Happy

Once the rocks were completed, the
we added a layer of Modge Podge to
shine to the decoration. Again, I suggest

only a great way for your child to express
gift to secure receipts or loose pieces of
paper at home or work. I hope your family
enjoys this craft, and the special Dad in
your life has a wonderful time celebrating
