Go for a walk: walking with
a friend, spouse or your kids is a
great way to promote exercise
as well as catch up on the day’s
events.
Do yard work: A great way
to get a “two-fer”! It’s a job that
needs to get done and is a super
way to get exercise that incorporates
bending, stretching, and
lifting.
Join Yoga or other fitness
classes: Joining your local studio
or gym is a great way to
build community with others
who share your interests and
will help you stay accountable.
Look for a teacher/fitness pro
who has the knowledge to work
with you on any modifications
you may need.
Hiking, swimming, kayaking:
With so many nature areas
around, especially with our
own Cumberland Mountain
State Park and other parks like
it nearby, it’s easy to get physical
outside and enjoy nature at the
same time.
These two health hacks can set
a foundation for a happier life,
and who wouldn’t want that?
These strategies don’t have to be
daunting. Baby steps are fine,
but just get started!
