aged children. In fact, she met her
husband at a Manatee Chamber event.
“It was a networking event at the Sandbar
Restaurant,” she recalls. “He moved
to Manatee County through a career
promotion when he was working for the
Pittsburgh Pirates.”
Jacki says weekends are all about
family time. “Our two children are joyful,
unique, fabulous kids,” she gushes. “We
love the beach, spending time with the
grandparents, aunts, and uncles, family
meals, reading, and exploring our region.
Our kids have really gotten into playing
cards, so we have lots of fun (and a bit of
competition) with that.”
Jacki also loves to cook. “For me, it’s the
more the merrier when it comes to family
and friends around our table” She is
also an avid Gator fan, having received
her Bachelor of Fine Art and Master of
Business Administration degrees from
the University of Florida.
Privilege & Responsibility
Jacki says it’s a privilege and responsibility
to earn the investment of local businesses in
the Manatee Chamber. “I am extraordinarily
proud of the work we do,” she adds. “Many
people think ‘events’ when they think about
a Chamber. We do plenty of those, at a
very high level, to help businesses make
connections.”
However, she wants the community
to know the Chamber offers so much
more than networking events. “We also
market local businesses in diverse,
effective ways,” she explains. “A less
visible but even more important side
of the Manatee Chamber is the daily
work our members’ investment enables
us to do in researching, collaborating,
and implementing solutions on critical
business and community issues. There
is incredible inuence in being the voice
of businesses, across our entire county
and beyond.”
