excursion through the museum is more
than a basic study of the water cycle.
Families can learn together with special
sections for kids and adults taking visitors
on a path of discovery to learn how tiny
water droplets travel through time

Museum
There’s stuff for adults like the monthly
programs on
the second Wednesday night of most
months. Special Guest Speakers offer
insight on a range of topics from Animal
Training to the use of art in the study of
science. The Lunch & Learns on the 2nd
and 4th Wednesdays feature talks by
museum staff members on a wide variety
of subjects.
For students there’s KIDSPACE for kids in
grades 1-5 who want to learn everything
there is to know about... SPACE On the
2nd and 4th Saturday of the month, the
Bishop Planetarium program is sure to
wow future space travellers and anyone
who nds “the nal frontier” fascinating.
STREAM
On STREAM Saturdays, you’ll nd handson,
family-friendly experiments and
games, crafts, and stories or themed
scavenger hunts at the Museum from 10
am – 12pm. Go at your own pace and visit
one or all the activities before enjoying the
Museum for the rest of the day
• STREAM Saturdays are the 3rd Saturday
of each month from October – May.
• STREAM Saturdays activities are
included with Museum admission (not
available for separate purchase; no
reservations necessary.)
• Activities run from 10:00 am-noon.
• Children must attend with a parent or
guardian.
The Bishop Planetarium is also home to
Stelliferous Live, the monthly Star Talk with
a staff astronomer on the 4th Wednesday
evening of the month. This program is
a real thought-producer and is open to
adults and youngsters, too.
Middle Schoolers have a program of their
own at SFM called which offers
students in grades 6-8 an opportunity
to think outside the box while tackling a
real-world problem. IQuest is the second
Saturday of most months and is a terric
alternative to a Saturday spent video
gaming.
