What You Need to Know About Emergency Drench
It’s critical to remember that the eyes are not the only part of the body
that may need to be flushed in the event of a spill, explosion, or other
accident. In fact, the OSHA standard refers to the need for a means
of drenching the eyes and body. For example, if a hazardous chemical
splashes into an employee’s face, it may end up on the hands, shoulders
or elsewhere. In a case like this—or something even more critical, such
as a chemical explosion—an eye wash station is not enough to effectively
drench the rest of the body. A fully plumbed body drench station or drench
hose offers your workers the most comprehensive emergency care. Ask
your ZEE Representative about our wide selection of drench stations to
determine which system meets your facility’s needs.
