ANSI Zone
ANSI Standard 107.2004 specifies that only certain colors are
acceptable for high visibility garments. All compliant garments must
be able to be worn 24 hours a day, in all conditions, and provide a
high level of visibility through the use of fluorescent and retro-reflective
materials. Each garment must have a minimum amount of
background material. ANSI compliant garments are classified into
Classes 1, 2, and 3, and use is determined by the industry and
hazards present. For some industries and occupations, ANSI
compliant vests are not required.
