Sticking diligently to their task, the pack pushed out the other side. A view by Dale Haysom and
Hollers from Emily Wiley lifted hounds to the top of Cindy’s Corner on Haysom Trail. Some
confusion followed, by which time some hounds had worked out the line down to cross Meadowburn
Road. The pack was then taken to the Wawayanda Bridge on Dekay Road and a short
cast had hounds running towards Meadowburn Farm. Crossing the road here they worked a
patchy line through the cows back to the thick cover above the pond.
Now on a much slower line they hunted round the boundary wall to Whips Jump and Haysom
trail area. Now turning to take a line on to Prices Switch, hounds were gathered in at this
point, scoring a 6.5 mile run in 1 hour and 15 minutes covering 16 miles.
Westtown, 10/31/18
H ounds where taken to draw England through to Wales, points Peggy Marzell and Linda
Scorsone MFH flanked the corn fields while Whipper-in Dale Haysom kept to the left of
hounds. The Field, led by Shayne Haysom, flanked on the tractor track to Kenya. Hounds found
in the valleys of Wales and soon got together pushing on to the Brazil Trail and crossing the
high corn field. Peggy caught up as we pushed on through the lower covers towards Andy’s
Trail but by the time we got to the Party Field hounds were crossing Scheffler’s Road. Viewed
on over by Lindie, hounds now in full cry, ran the corn at Battle Boro to the long ditch then
turned south along the small bank of cover behind the farm to the marsh, circling the bottom
of the corn running parallel to Tally Ho banks before heading towards the tree in the middle of
the corn.
Still hunting with drive and good cry the hounds turned back along the long ditch and on towards
the farm, this time turning north towards Scheffler’s Road. Now running a clockwise
circuit of the 50-acre field, they pushed to Tally Ho. Still driving, the pack cut down the hedge
line to the marsh towards Cosh Road but turned from here to the cover. Hounds checked there
and while they cast back towards Cosh Road the coyote was viewed to cross by Lindie
Scorsone. Hounds were gathered up after a run of 4.5 miles in a sharp 40 minutes.
Hounds were taken back to draw Battle Boro but nothing could be made of another line and
they were collected in. Drawing the Scheffler’s Road corn field, hounds dragged an old line out
cross the tractor road up the woods to the Bunny Hill, swinging left handed towards Brazil a
large herd of deer ran across the line and hounds couldn’t regain the scent so were lifted on.
They picked up a cold line across ‘B’ Corn field to the brambles above the old track, but nothing
more could be made of this old line and hounds were cast forward to Kulesza’s marsh.
Lindie and Peggy went on point via McMullen Rd. and Dale rode point in the cover below Hig
corn field. Hounds were drawing well when a coyote was viewed slipping away by Dale Haysom,
Hounds were soon on to her Holla and raced at pace through High corn field and turned as for
the Bunny Hill, while some grand music rang out over Andy’s Trail and into the corn.
Hounds broke out into the Birches but over ran, casting themselves back by the wall into the
Ridge cover but no line was gained. The coyote must have turned sharp to run the track down
to the Scheffler’s corn field as hounds worked a line out, he was viewed by Lindie crossing into
the Polocrosse jumps. Laid on, Hounds soon ran up the Ravine and the Coyote was seen by Dale
Haysom with hounds in very close quarters. At this point he turned for a no -go area and was
