Are you looking for activities to keep the kids busy over
Winter Break? How about a fun craft that can upcycle
plastic containers in your home, as well as encourage hand eye
coordination?
Recently my daughter and I worked together to make Waterless
Snow Globes. This craft not only glows at nighttime, but really
ignites creativity through unique designs and mixing paints to
create new colors.
These also are a great keepsake and would make a wonderful
holiday gift for family and friends.
If you would like to recreate a Waterless Snow Globe with your
family, you will need the following:
- Plastic container with a lid
- Acrylic paints
- Glue
- Battery operated tea light
- Red fuzzy stick AKA pipe cleaner
- Multiple paint brushes
- Paper towels or newspaper
DIRECTIONS:
craft store.
Next, lay down paper towels or newspaper and paint the outside
plastic with a layer of glue. We did this so the acrylic paint would
adhere to the surface.
Then, set this aside and allow it to dry for at least an hour.
