GET TO KNOW
JEAN HAMILTON,
NIXA'S SUPPORT
STAFF OF THE YEAR
Who would play you in a movie about your life?
Meryl Streep
What is the hardest life lesson you have ever learned?
Not to allow others' negativity or negative choices to influence
who I can be.
If you could invent any golden rule, what would it be?
I think I would just add to the current golden rule:
“Do unto others as you would like others to do unto you” ...and
make sure everything is done in honor, loving, kind and respectful
ways.
What do you like to do in your free time?
Dance, read, bike local trails, spend time with friends/family, work
on home-fix-up projects, hike, fish, and see beautiful scenery.
Where is the best place you have ever traveled to?
My most memorable trip was following Lewis and Clark’s trail from
Missouri to the Pacific Ocean. Going down the same paths,
traveling down rivers, camping where they camped, standing in
rivers they stood in, putting our feet in the ocean where they did
while reading “Undaunted Courage - Lewis Memoirs.” We read the
excerpts of their experiences in the locations we were at each day
on our trip. .
If you could have any superpower, what would yours be?
The ability to put maximum love towards others and self in every
person’s mind and heart.
What is something that motivates you each day?
Helping others. I feel like this happens everyday at work and I love
being here.
What keeps you organized?
My staff and great administrative assistants!
What is your favorite zoo animal?
Monkeys. I think they seem to have a sense of humor!
How are you a team player?
I honestly believe that every member of a team has the right to
express their opinions and should be listened to. Thoughts and
decisions should be discussed and the best ideas honored.
If you had to pick a color that you would be, what is it?
I love blue, but I think I would have to say green. It symbolizes life
to me and is a mixture of blue, which I feel symbolizes truth or
realness, and yellow, which makes me think of happiness and
warmth.
What is the best piece of advice you have to offer?
Give to others; it gives you both happiness. Be totally honest with
yourself and others. Laugh at yourself!
