Q: Do you have any advice on leadership?
A: Listen, you have to be willing to listen to the
individuals who are influenced by your decisions.
Q: What are the most important leadership
principles to you?
A: I believe in servant leadership. As a principal my job
is to serve our students and teachers. Collaborative
decision making and shared leadership are also
important.
Q: What do you want to see most for Nixa Schools?
A: I want us to be producing graduates who are both
college and/or career ready. I want post-secondary
institutions and employers to see that our graduates
have the skills, knowledge, and character to be
successful in whatever direction they choose to go.
Q: How is your vision coming to life in our school
district?
A: Each and everyday encouraging individuals to be the
best teachers they can be.
Nixa students are proving that the
education they receive in our
community’s schools is providing
problem-solving, critical thinking,
reading, and other skills in addition to
learning to apply information from
workplace documents and
mathematical reasoning to solve
problems to prepare them for the
workplace after graduation.
