SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP
You will likely be attending a worship
service at your partner church.
There may be moments that challenge
your normal style of worship, and
that’s okay. Embrace the experience
and make it a point to participate
fully in the entire service. Sunday
morning is usually one of your first
interactions with the local church,
which provides an opportunity to
introduce yourselves and worship
alongside them.
USEFUL TIPS
• Have a couple of team members
prepare a testimony or faith story.
• If a team member has musical
abilities, prepare a song or two.
• If a team member is gifted in
preaching/teaching, communicate
that to your PPM leader.
SCHOOL MINISTRY
School ministry can be a lot of fun and
will give you the opportunity to build
some great relationships with the
students. If you’re in the classroom,
work to incorporate an educational
element into your experience (e.g.,
teaching some world geography while
communicating how big our God
is). Taking the time to invest in the
students’ educational development
while communicating the love of
Christ can be incredibly impactful. If
you’re leading an assembly, you may
have the opportunity to perform Bible
skits, give testimonies, and sing songs.
Be yourself and have fun throughout
the process. The most important part
of school ministry is the connection
you build with the students.
USEFUL TIPS
• Prepare fun songs with hand
motions to engage the kids.
• Practice a few skits to draw
attention to the Bible passage you
are sharing.
• Organize games that can be
played sitting down so they don’t
get too chaotic.
• Be relaxed, and make it fun!
SPORTS MINISTRY
Sports ministry is a great way to
interact with kids and teens from the
community. Whether you are a great
athlete or not, the focus should be on
the kids. Make it fun and go out
of your way to include everyone in
the game. Be ready to laugh and have
some friendly competition. Soccer,
basketball, and baseball are generally
popular sports, depending on the host
location. When organizing a game,
do your best to keep the instructions
simple and allow a lot of flexibility.
USEFUL TIPS
• Bring air pumps, deflated balls,
and extra needles (ask church
members to donate).
• For ideas on fun and simple group
games to play, see page 22!
