Five Fabulous Females
This 13th annual fundraiser for Academy Prep Center of St. Petersburg honored women who embody the characteristics that
inspire others by example. The goal of Academy Prep is to have its students know they can aspire to and achieve the success
and impact that these honorees have had. Lissette Campos, Emmy Award-winning journalist, served as the program’s master of
ceremonies as Donna Gaffney, Melissa Seixas, Terri Lipsey Scott, Karol Bullard and Lorna Taylor were honored.
Fred Bullard is so proud of his wife Karol,
who was honored for championing the
arts and children, that he named his new
hotel in Clearwater for her.
Honoree Lorna Taylor and honoree
Melissa Seixas are outstanding
examples of women who make a
positive difference wherever they go.
Karol and Fred Bullard’s sons Paul, Burton and
Fred have always known that their mother is a
fabulous female on a multitude of levels.

The Salvador Dalí Museum held its second annual fashion show of the original Dalí-inspired wearable art of Tampa Bay area
high school students who completed its 2019 complimentary 12-week program, where they learned the fundamentals of design,
construction and runway presentation, led by Trish Kelly of Gibbs High School’s Pinellas Center for the Arts. The student designs
were showcased during an informal fashion show and reception hosted by Neiman Marcus in Tampa that benefited The Dalí’s
education programs.
Erin Partlow designed the feather wrap
worn by Olivia Kasper in the fashion show.
Ileen Metro showed off this Dalí-inspired
dress designed by student Kaela Piotti.
Abbie Garretson modeled her own creation
during the in-store fashion presentation.
