This year’s American Stage in the Park
musical will be Footloose: The Musical, a
high-energy pop performance directed by
Stephanie Gularte, CEO and producing
artistic director for American Stage, that will
dazzle you with explosive choreography and
invigorating songs. The musical celebrates
the spirit and optimism of young people
fighting for change. Footloose: The Musical
will be performed in Demens Landing Park
along the St. Petersburg waterfront with
performances that open Wednesday, April
15th, leading to the Gala Under the Stars on
Friday evening, April 17th. The show will
continue until May 17th. Call American

The Art of Health
Participation yoga and tai chi, a
series of 20-minute health care talks and
exhibitor tables featuring the arts and
health products and services will form
the basis for “The Art of Health,” a new
Tarpon Springs event to demonstrate
how exposure to the arts can enhance
your health and well-being. The free
festival will be outdoors in Craig Park
and indoors in the adjacent Heritage
Museum from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on
Saturday, March 28th. The event is being presented by the City of Tarpon Springs
Cultural & Civic Services Department, the City of Tarpon Springs Recreation
Department, AdventHealth North Pinellas and Peace4Tarpon. There will be multiple
food trucks, live musical entertainment by Fred Johnson, Dr. Michael Longley
and others, art activities for children and adults, and more. For information,

Opera Tampa’s co-chairs for its 2020 Grand Gala at the Straz
Center’s Carol Morsani Hall are the dynamic duo of Dr. Zena Lansky
and Gina d’Angelo. In addition to the presentation of the Anton
Coppola Excellence in the Arts Award to soprano Deborah Voight,
the evening of Saturday, May 2nd will feature a cocktail reception,
a sumptuous dinner on the hall’s stage, live and silent auctions and
glorious entertainment. This black-tie evening is encouraging silver
tones of attire in honor of the opera company’s 25th anniversary. To

Party
The Dunedin Fine Art Center’s 40th
annual Garden Party from 5 p.m. to
8 p.m. on April 5th at the center will
have a “Heard it through the Grapevine”
