Bollinger at Tip of the

“We have always talked
about working together
and I am so excited that
I have been able to grow
my business to have
enough space for Jodi
to come work with me,”
Sims said.
Even when working at
different salons, the two
friends never saw each
other as competition, but
rather as collaborators.
Warran began working
at The Hair Engineers
in Satellite Beach and
also taught at a local
beauty school. Aubrey
would come to support
her as a guest speaker.
She also served as judge
in the school’s nail art
competition final and as
an example of hard work
and dedication to the
industry.
“Having a young
successful business
woman to look up to is
so important for students
and new professionals,”
Warran said.
Sims and Warren
also belong to an
unofficial group of salon
professionals, including
hair stylists, waxers,
massage therapists and
product formulators who
come together as they
open new businesses and
share referrals.

mentors, education, and
products have helped us

A FRIENDSHIP
AND CAREERS
Jodi Warran met Aubrey Sims nine
years ago when both were beginning
nail technicians working at a local
salon and spa. The two developed a
fast friendship. In 2013, the women
went their separate ways professionally
when Aubrey left to open Tip of the
Brush nail salon in Indialantic. But the
friendship endured as they supported
each other’s growth, and of course,
talked nails. And after over six years
with separate work paths, the friends
are reuniting.
Now, the two women are seeing their years-long
dream of working together come true as Warran
passion we feel for the
industry,” Sims said.
At Tip of the Brush,
studio services are
available by appointment
only. Clients come to
the salon for beautiful
and unique nail art,
which is featured on
their Instagram account
@tipofthebrushnails,
as well as customized
therapeutic services.
Bollinger, Sims, and
Warran pride themselves
on using only the best
products and value the
importance of the overall
health and wellness of
their clients’ hands and
feet.
“We really become
connected with
our clients and the
relationships that we’ve
built with them over
the years,” Warran said.
“We’ve always felt very
lucky to be able to make
a living doing what we
love! Having a best friend
who loves their career
as much as you do is
priceless.”
