bteotgteerth e r... Long before we all lived here, Horizon
West was quite different. It was acres of
rural citrus groves that provided a unique
lifestyle to those who lived and worked
on them. How it came to be the place we
now call home is a history each of us can
respect and carry with us as we create
our own stories with our families here.
Much like we all found ourselves
in 2020, the grove owners were
collectively faced with a drastic
turn of events that changed
the landscape of their lives and
turned the first page of Horizon
West's history. Deep freezes in the
late 1980's devastated crops, forcing
the farmers to figure out how to put the
pieces back together. The then residents
of this area rose to the occasion, evolving
and choosing a new beginning through a
shared vision. With life looking nothing like
Cynthia
it had before, they worked together to find a path that was bolder,
braver, bigger. They made the hard choice to enable a new use for the
land they had nurtured for so long and found a way forward past
the hand that had been dealt to them.
Fast forward to today and it is YOU, today's residents of
Horizon West, who have taken what was handed to you
in 2020 and are turning it into bolder, braver and bigger
choices! You are picking up broken pieces and putting
them back together, making something new and different.
We hope your vision for the future of Horizon West is one
of compassion and community spirit. As we make our way
through another year together, we encourage you to look back
upon our shared history with gratitude and look forward
to the future with hope.
