Largo Lions Club Spotlight Series
The Largo Lions Club is excited to announce its 2022
Spotlight Series after skipping last year. The series of
Monday concerts kicks off January 24th with the Mark
Anthony Band paying tribute to Bob Seger and Cher.
Next up on February 7th is The Deal Goes On, a tribute
to the Gambler Kenny Rogers. Then on March 7th will
be a Divas of Soul tribute to Aretha Franklin and Tina
Turner. On March 28th there will be a Frank Sinatra
tribute, and on April 11th, The Morrison Joplin Review.
All concerts will be at the Central Park Performing Arts

St. Petersburg’s Mahaffey
Theater rocking with great
concerts such as One Night with
Queen and 1964: The Tribute,
which recreates the magic of a
live Beatles performance. Other
upcoming shows are Cirque
Dreams Holidaze, Champions
of Magic, The Doo Wop Project
and Chubby Checker to name
a few. The Mahaffey Theater

Warhol’s West
The James Museum of Western & Wildlife Art in St. Petersburg is
featuring an exhibit until January 9th that explores pop artist
Andy Warhol’s fascination with the American West. “Warhol’s
West” presents imagery from his last major suite Cowboys and
Indians, (1986). The series, done in his signature style, includes
some famous faces such as Geronimo, Annie Oakley, Sitting Bull,
President Theodore Roosevelt and John Wayne. These works
demonstrate how the American West has influenced and inspired
people over the years. The James Museum is located at 150 Central

the Carlyle
The Collectors Circle, a group of
financial supporters of the Museum
of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg, is hosting
an evening of music and entertainment
at the Vinoy’s Sunset Ballroom on
Snell Isle on December 9th. Musical
performers will offer selections from
the “Great American Songbook,” such
as tunes from Cole Porter to Carole King
to Leonard Bernstein to Paul Simon. It
will be a special treat, especially for
those who have never been to the
famous Café Carlyle hot spot in New
