In a feature about signature dishes from the area’s finest restaurants,
Alfano’s Restaurant in Clearwater was represented by Shrimp Milano,
which was named for one of the owners’ friends and not the city in Italy.
Twenty-five years later, Alfano’s remains among the Tampa Bay area’s
finest restaurants and continues to please guests with its creativity, fine
service and beautiful décor.
We saluted the holiday
season with a Florida-style

10 YEARS AGO - November/December 2011
An exhibit of vintage designs
kicked off Tampa Bay Fashion Week
in the November/December 2011
issue. The exhibit displayed fashion
through several generations from
the personal collections of some
of the Tampa Bay area’s most
fashion conscious women, such
as Rhonda Shear, who now has
(re)treat, an upscale resale boutique
in St. Petersburg; Margaret Word
Burnside of Tampa Bay Magazine;
and Jill Wax of Ybor City’s La France
boutique. Steven Anderson and
Andrew Ashton continue at
LaPosh as they pursue their various
charitable endeavors, including
their My Fairy Godfathers charity
for deserving women. 9
