defense industry. Suarez served as his
agency’s representative to Counter

years, Suarez and his wife, Cheryl, have
relocated from Virginia to Sarasota.

Lincoln Tamayo ’78 announced
plans for a 3rd Academy Prep
school in Lakeland, scheduled to
open in June of 2019, which will
add to the current Academy Prep
schools in Tampa and St. Petersburg.
Tamayo is the vice president of
operations at Academy Prep, whose
successful 5th to 8th grade model
serves students qualifying for needbased
scholarships.
