President’s Message
Dear Trojan Alum and Friends,
How do you choose what you build? How do you
invest in others? Where do you give your focus
and energies?
All important questions to ponder in the season
of growth. In this edition of ACCESS ACM, we’ll
share stories of building futures, especially relevant as we celebrate National Community
College Month this April.
We’ll go day-tripping with a discovery-based science program that emphasizes project
ownership, profile major changes on campus, learn about career training in a makerspace,
find out about efforts to keep at-risk students achieving in the classroom, celebrate
community engagement, and applaud a new record on the basketball court. Along the
way, we’ll celebrate a nationally recognized college professor, say farewell to the first
director of the ACM Bedford County Campus, find out how ACM’s recruiters locate
future Trojans, and more.
Go Trojans!
Cynthia Bambara, Ph.D.
ACM President
