TBBCA 2015 Impact Awards
The Tampa Bay Business for Culture and the Arts (TBBCA) held its annual Impact Awards dinner in Tampa. Lisa DeBartolo
Miggs and Don Miggs and Nikki DeBartolo and Chad Chronister served as the benefit’s honorary chairs; TBBCA board members
Stephen Gay and Timothy Garding were the chairs; and Fox 13’s Good Day Tampa Bay co-anchor Russell Rhodes was the master of
ceremonies. Architect Yann Weymouth created centerpieces based on “Tampa Tornado,” a wire sculpture created in 1984 by the
late Theo Wujcik, who was given the evening’s Lifetime Artistic Achievement Award. Susan Johnson, Theo’s widow accepted a
similar sculpture by Joe Griffith that TBBCA had commissioned in Theo’s honor. Additional recognition went to Richard Gonzmart,
co-owner and president of the Columbia Restaurant Group (Patron of Culture and the Arts Award), Julio Esquivel, managing partner
of Shumaker, Loop and Kendrick (Individual Impact Award), Charles “Chuck” Sykes, president and CEO of Sykes Enterprises
(Business Impact Award), and Marian Winters (Community Arts Advocate Award). The evening celebrating businesses and artists
