excited that their Orlando showroom’s
organic remodel was awarded the title

Elliott Wiser, president and general
manager of WTSP 10 News announced
that Stephanie Webb is the new host
and Maureen Famiano is the new
executive producer for the television
station’s Studio 10 Live! program that
airs from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Mondays
through Fridays on the CBS affiliate
Channel 10.
Mark Aeling, president of the
St. Petersburg Arts District Association,
announced that Mary Jane Park is the
new executive director of this nonprofit
501(c) corporation, which promotes
artists in the district between First
Avenue North and 10th Avenue South
and 16th and 31st Streets, as well as
St. Petersburg’s cultural and economic
master plans for other arts areas.
Randi-lyn Farrell, the director of
development for the Salvation Army,
reports that the Army’s Disaster Teams
are on standby and ready to serve in the
event of a hurricane affecting the Tampa
Bay community. Working with the area’s
emergency management personnel,
as they did ten years ago when three
devastating hurricanes required the
Army’s emergency response, they are
prepared to do so again this year if
needed.
Aaron Fodiman, the publisher/
editor of Tampa Bay Magazine, has
become the chair of the Dunedin Public
Library Foundation. The Foundation
was established to give support to the
city’s library, particularly for items they
may not have had the funds to obtain.
Geoff Simon moderated the Sykes
Hall of Fame Business Speakers’ event in
the University of Tampa’s Falk Theater
that featured Liz Smith, the chair and
CEO of Bloomin’ Brands (Outback
Steakhouse), and Mindy Grossman,
CEO of HSNi (formerly Home Shopping
Network). These two powerful
women spoke about “Entrepreneur or
Intrapreneur: Dare to be Different.” Both
women know, from personal experience,
about how to take a billion-dollar
business and transform it to new heights
and passed on some of what they learned
along the way.
