Mary and Tom James were at the investiture where Tom,
as the Knight Grand Collar of The Order of Salvador,
presided over the ceremony.
The 25th Super Bowl
was coming to Tampa
Bay. This gridiron classic,
choosing to do battle here,
was a major coup for the
Tampa Bay area that was
earned by the success of
Super Bowl XVIII that
our area hosted in 1984.

Since Salvador Dalí loved pomp and
ceremony, such as the two times that
Spain’s King Juan Carlos honored
him, the museum named for him in St.
Petersburg formed The Order of Salvador
to recognize those who were deemed
worthy by the Grand Council of The
Order. The Order holds an annual investiture to bring new
members in and elevate existing members at the Museum. This year,
Tom James, who remains the Knight Grand Collar of The Order,
once again officiated at the ceremony.
