Island Night
LifePath Hospice, a Chapters Health Subsidiary, held “Big Kahuna Luau,” its annual Island Night fundraiser at Jackson’s
Bistro on Harbour Island in Tampa. Cyndee Dornblaser and her husband Rick Lentz co-chaired this year’s island-themed
benefit, as they have done for the past six consecutive years. The evening of dining, bidding, casino-type gaming and music
by the Landsharks also afforded guests the opportunity to sponsor grieving children at LifePath’s Circle of Love Camp.
Executive Chef Rachid El Yamani and
Jack Campbell, the owner of Jackson’s Bistro
on Harbour Island in Tampa, were pleased
to host the benefit along with their staff.
Retired news anchor Gayle Sierens and
her husband Mike Martin, who were last
year’s honorary chairs, were happy to once
again furnish some of his Mike’s Pies,
as well as cakes.
Kathy Fernandez, CEO and president of
LifePath Hospice, and her husband Danny
greeted partygoers as they arrived at the
“Big Kahuna Luau.”
Liz Smith and her husband, sculptor J. Harrison
“Jim” Smith, took home a number of items that
she “won” in the silent auction and purchased
at LifePath’s mini thrift store.
Mary Kreuziger and her husband Peter,
who is a well known Dunedin restauranteur,
were impressed with the variety, quality and
quantity of Jackson’s buffet presentation.
Steve Brown and his wife Susan, who serves
on Empath’s Suncoast Hospice board in
Pinellas County, look forward to attending
the Island Night at Jackson’s benefit
whenever they can.
