Suzanne Livesay has been named
vice president of education at the Straz
Center in Tampa. She will be responsible
for leading the Patel Conservatory
Community Outreach, the Conservatory
To-Go programs and field trips. The Patel
Conservatory and the Straz Center’s arts
education programs enrich the lives of
more than 70,000 students.
Jennifer Webb, the community affairs
director of the Church of Scientology in
Clearwater, led the monthly Charity
Coalition Luncheon that provides a forum
for individuals to network and collaborate
on opportunities for improvement in the

of Florida was the featured charity at the
Luncheon, and Liz Wooten Reschke,

JoAnn Elardo, the owner and creator
of Wicked Dolphin Rum, has established
a distillery in Florida that uses 100-percent
Florida sugarcane to produce a rum that
is aged in American white oak bourbon
barrels. The rum is made craft style in small
batches using a copper pot still. The rum’s
sweet buttery start is followed by a deep

Jeff Vinik, the “Father of Modern
Tampa,” has taken another step forward
in his vision for downtown by donating
an acre of land for USF’s Medical School
that will become a center of learning and
research. The 330,000 square-foot building,
which will cost more than $150 million, will
only be minutes away from the school’s
teaching hospital, Tampa General, and its
Center for Advanced Medical Learning
and Simulation. Tampa’s best chance of
becoming America’s next great city is Jeff.

younger brother Mark, a news anchor for Channel 13 and a member
of the Wilson Van band, jumped in to play guitar during one of his
songs. It was a dynamic evening that left everyone looking forward
to next year’s concert.
