One of America’s great pop culture
icons and one of the best-selling music
artists of all time with more than 150
million records sold, Frank Sinatra
was also an Academy Award winner,
a Grammy winner, a recipient of the
Presidential Medal of Freedom (conferred
upon him by President Reagan), and
a recipient of the Congressional Gold
Medal. Peter was recently chosen to
paint this legendary entertainer, who
was known to his numerous friends,
fans, and associates simply as “The
Chairman of the Board.” In honor of the
2015 centennial of Frank Sinatra’s birth,
Max was commissioned by the Sinatra
Foundation to create a series of paintings,
with his colorful dynamic brushstrokes,
that depict different stages of Sinatra’s
career over the course of several decades.
Peter’s “Rainbow Umbrella Man” uses the bright colors
that have made his work so popular.
His signature 1960s’ style that used
bold, vibrant colors has evolved over
the years to creating colorful, uplifting
images that represent and inspire
American culture.
