Halo 5K Run to Benefit
Put on your running shoes to help a worthy cause. On Saturday, March 5th,
the Halo 5K Run will be held at Al Lopez Park in Tampa to benefit Angels
Unaware. This nonprofit organization is dedicated to providing residential
care facilities and services for the developmentally disabled of Tampa.

Founded in 1983 by Anna Brennen,
Stageworks, Tampa’s longest-running
theater company, has found a permanent
home in downtown Tampa’s Channel
District. Their annual gala, which this year
will be “Live from Tampa, It’s Saturday
Night!” and will honor Andrea Graham,
will be held on January 16th at District 3
in Tampa, (813) 374-2416. The dress code
will be black-tie, or as a Saturday Night Live
character.
“Pearls of Beauty,” the second annual
collaboration between PureLife Medi-Spa
and Gioffré to benefit Julie Weintraub’s
Hands Across the Bay, will be March 5th
at the Fort Harrison Hotel in Clearwater.
The evening will feature gourmet dining,
bidding, musical entertainment and a
couture runway fashion show of the latest
designs by Angela Gioffré of Milan, Italy.

hardworking families in need and spreads

The Miniature Art Society of Florida’s
41st annual juried International Miniature
Art Exhibition will feature hundreds of
intricately executed small-size paintings
and sculptures, which will be available for
purchase, while competing for $15,000 in
prizes. The Society’s permanent collection
of over 100 miniature masterpieces will
also be on view. The tiny art treasures
will be accompanied by magnifiers, so
that the details can be fully appreciated.
The exhibition will be open to the public
from January 17th through February
7th, Mondays through Saturdays from
10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from noon
to 4 p.m. at the Dunedin Fine Art Center,
