Senator Jack Latvala
Honored
The East Lake Community Library owes
its existence to Florida State Senator
Jack Latvala, who helped to secure
its original funding. Now, twenty years
later, Senator Latvala has done it again
by obtaining funds for its building
expansion and renovation. To express
their appreciation to Jack for all his efforts
on their behalf, the Library staff held a
breakfast where Tampa Bay Magazine
Publishers Margaret Word Burnside and
Aaron Fodiman thanked Jack for his ongoing
commitment to the Library and its programs.
Lois Eannel, the director of the East Lake
Community Library, presented Senator Jack
Latvala with a glass sculpture bearing his
signature in recognition of the important
support he attained for the Library.
Lauren Engle and Jen Nance of the Heart
Gallery of Pinellas and Pasco accepted
the award presented to their group’s
local foster care adoption agency.
