Former Safety Harbor clay sculptor Joshua Margolis has released a book, Melvin
the Sad. . . (ish) Robot. The story centers around one of Margolis’ clay creations,
Melvin, who roams the San Francisco Bay area seeking love and happiness, while
discovering new friends and experiences. The book is published by Mascot Books
and is available online through retailers such as Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
Festival of Trees
This three-day Holiday Extravaganza will feature
more than a hundred unique Christmas trees and
holiday wreaths that have been decorated by
local artists, businesses, community groups and
leaders. The trees and wreaths will be on display
and are for sale along with numerous other items
from a variety of local vendors. Santa will be
there with his elves, as well as a full schedule
of entertainment. This 32nd annual event at the
Long Center in Clearwater will be open from Friday, November 18th through
Sunday, November 20th, with a reservation-only premiere night on Friday.
All proceeds will benefit the Arc Tampa Bay, whose mission is to support and
empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. For more
