Gone but not forgotten …
Say goodbye to the Green Park Driveover Bridge. Shown above shortly after it was constructed in 1965, it
will be torn dwn after this year’s race and replaced with a new two-lane bridge. Think of how many times
fans have driven over that bridge the past 53 years! It has had many different signs on it through the years,
ranging from Falstaff Beer to Corvette.
The Triumph photo and observation tower was at the Hairpin
and stood from the early 1960s through the late 1970s.
The scoring tower on the front straight was removed
two years ago, It was originally the tower used by the
Grand Prix of Miami in the 1980s.
