9-15 H.M.S. Otranto Marker Dedication on Tybee 10am to noon
at Fort Screven Museum at Battery Garland Meddin Drive. This
dedication is to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the
loss of the H.M.S. Otranto. American Legion Post #154 Color
Guard will be there. Tybee Mayor, Jason Buelterman, will read
a proclamation by Governor Nathan Deal. Lunch and social
gathering at the American Legion Post #154 to follow. At 2pm
there will be a screening of “Islay: For Those in Peril” at Tybee
Post Theater, 10 Van Horne Ave.
