DISEASE MANAGEMENT PROGRAMS
The Diabetes Health Plan took
care of all of my costs for
medications, which is beautiful,
but then it also took care of every
doctor visit associated with my
diabetes. It allowed me to be able
to focus on the management
of my disease as opposed to
trying to worry about the health
problems.
When I first found out, they put
me on insulin. I didn’t like it,
and I wanted to get off insulin
immediately. It took me a while,
but I disciplined myself, made
some changes, and 18 months
later, I was down 116 pounds.
Here it is 2 1/2 years later, and
I am down 126 pounds total. I
went from a size 52 to a 40 inch
waist. The feeling is amazing.
